View a Visit's Full Transcript

How to view the full transcription based on the recording of your visit.

Updated this week

While it isn't possible to replay audio from a conversation, you can access the full word-for-word transcript. This can be used to review patient conversations and any specific details from the session.

Step 1: Open a Note

Open a processed SOAP note from the left-hand menu.

Step 2: Scroll to and click the Transcript Summary

Scroll to the "Transcript Summary" section at the bottom of the SOAP note and expand the section.

Step 3: Click the Full Transcript toggle

Click Full Transcript toggle to reveal the complete, word-for-word transcript of your patient or client conversation.

Step 4: View Full Transcript

Here, you can review the word-for-word transcript of the conversation that was recorded. While you can't edit the transcript, you can select and copy the text from it.

The full transcript shows the word-for-word transcription of the recorded audio conversation.

If you see random or unknown text, this may indicate an issue with the audio recording. Please check your mic setup to ensure it is free from any interference or obstructions, and that it is properly connected to your device.

Once a note is generated, the audio recording is deleted in a HIPAA-compliant manner. Freed is not able to provide any audio recordings of visits.

[1/2026] We’re currently testing an improvement to how notes are created that helps better distinguish who is speaking during a visit. This update is designed to reduce situations where clinician and patient statements might be mixed up in the note, which can be especially helpful in visits with multiple speakers communicating with the clinician. You may start to see clearer speaker labels in the transcript section for some of your visits. We’re rolling this out gradually and expect it to appear in more visits over time as we continue testing and refining it.
