Overview
Admins at clinics/practices enrolled in a Freed group plan can enable Care Collaboration. Read more about sharing patients and notes within a clinic here. This is the extent of patient data sharing.
Freed Scribe does not support the direct transfer or merging of patient visit data between accounts. This limitation applies to all users and accounts, including individual and group accounts. However, there is a manual workaround that allows you to recreate patient visits in a new account.
Manual Workaround for Transferring Patient Visit Data
If you need to move patient visit data to a new Freed Scribe account, follow these steps:
Export Visits from the Old Account
Log into your old Freed Scribe account.
Export the patient visit data and transcripts. Settings > Profile > Export All Visits. This will typically result in a ZIP file containing the exported data.
Unzip the Exported Data
Extract the contents of the zipped file to access individual transcripts or visit notes.
Log into the New Account
Access your new Freed Scribe account where you want to recreate the visits.
Recreate Visits in the New Account
For each patient visit:
Create a new visit in the new account.
Enter the patient details manually.
Use the "Upload Transcript" option to upload the corresponding transcript or a supported audio file.
Freed Scribe will generate a new note based on the uploaded file.
Additional Considerations
Ensure that the exported files are in a format supported by Freed Scribe for upload.
This process can be time-consuming, especially for accounts with a large number of patient visits. Plan accordingly.
By following this manual process, you can effectively recreate patient visit data in a new Freed Scribe account, even though direct data transfer is not supported.
