Introducing: Patient Insights for Pre-Charting

How to use Patient Insights for smarter, faster pre-charting.

When you start a new visit for a returning patient in Freed, you’ll now see:

  • A summary of recent visits and follow-ups

  • Key highlights from the last plan

  • A bullet-point synopsis of what matters most

  • Optional “chat-style” history exploration — ask questions about past care, plans, or concerns

You don’t need to search through old notes or re-read transcripts. Freed catches you up instantly. As long as there's a previous patient note in your Freed account, Patient Insights will automatically be generated.


How to Use Patient Insights

  1. Click the Start a Visit button and select your patient's name.

  2. Freed will automatically display Patient Insights before you begin recording.

  3. Review the summary and optional bullet points.

Additionally, you can use the chat input to ask questions about the patient's previous visit history:

  • Example: “What were we monitoring last time?”

  • Example: “Was a follow-up scheduled?”

Once you're ready, you can click Capture Conversation to begin recording your patient encounter — with the patient’s recent context already top-of-mind.


FAQs

Why don't I see pre-charting information available for my patient?

Freed automatically generates pre-charting details for any patient with at least one previous visit saved in your Freed account. If you're not seeing any pre-charting details, this could indicate that previous notes were deleted or that the patient's name may have been misspelled.

Are patient details from previous visits integrated into new notes?

No. Freed generates notes exclusively from the real-time conversation during a patient visit. Pre-charting information or details from previous visits are not automatically included and require manual addition if needed.

What patient information is shown in the pre-charting view?

A summary from all patient visits stored in Freed is shown, along with follow-up from their most recent visit.
