Access Trash & Note Settings

How to view trashed notes and how to manage note preferences.

Updated today

This guide is intended to help you configure Freed's note settings to your liking, and understand how trashed notes work.

View and Manage Trashed Notes

If you manually move a note to the Trash, it will remain there for 7 days before it is automatically and permanently deleted.

Access trashed notes

Click the All Notes dropdown on the left sidebar. Click Trash in order to view all notes that have been moved to the trash.

Recover a trashed note

Click on the recycle icon to move a note out of the trash and back into your All Notes view. If you don't see a note that you're expecting to see it, it may have been more than 7 days since you moved the note to the trash, and the note may no longer be recoverable.

Note Retention Settings

Freed allows users to decide whether their notes should be retained indefinitely or deleted automatically after 30 days. Please note that deleted notes cannot be recovered.

To configure your note retention settings:

  1. Click the profile icon in the uper right corner, then click Settings.

  2. Click the Note tab near the top center of the page.

  3. Click the toggle to enable or disable automatic deletion after 30 days.

    1. If this is enabled, notes will automatically be permanently deleted 30 days from the initial visit capture.

    2. If this is disabled, notes will remain in your account indefinitely and can only be deleted by being moved to the trash.
