Introducing: EHR Push

Transfer notes generated by Freed directly to your EHR with a single click.

Updated today

We're currently testing a beta version of a new feature called EHR push in the Freed Chrome extension. It's designed to make note transfer even faster and more seamless.

EHR push is a single, powerful button that automatically maps and transfers notes from Freed into any browser-based EHR.

Please note that this feature is currently in beta, which means you may experience unexpected results, or not yet have this feature enabled. Please be sure to review documentation for accuracy.

If you have any specific feedback about your experience using this feature, please reach out to our team at [email protected].

Just download and launch the Freed Chrome extension. Record your visit, then click Push to EHR. Freed will automatically transfer your note.

EHR Availability and Compatibility

Push to EHR is currently verified to be compatible with:

Starting Oct. 1st, 2025, Freed AI will begin rolling out EHR Push (Push to EHR Beta) to all browser-based EHRs. Additionally, clinicians can join the early access program for non-verified EHR platforms, including those not yet explicitly tested for compatibility. Currently, EHR Push beta is not available for certain EHRs, such as eClinicalWorks, which does not support Push-to-EHR functionality and has no open enrollment at present.

Improving EHR Push

A mismatch between sections in Freed and your EHR might prevent your note from transferring as expected when using EHR Push.

Follow these guidelines to ensure a seamless transfer between Freed and your EHR:

  1. Match Note Structure:
Keep your Freed note structure as close as possible to your EHR’s native structure.

  2. Align Header Labels:
Use header labels that are identical or very similar to those in your EHR system.

  3. Separate Sections Clearly:
Include one empty line between sections to maintain clarity and prevent formatting issues.

Example

If your EHR page has HPI, Social History and Assessment sections, you should customize your template to match these same fields:

Option 1: Customize your Learned Template

If you use a Learned Template to generate your note in Freed, edit your note so that the text blocks reflect the fields in your EHR. You can edit one note, then click the Learn Format button to teach Freed that you want future notes to generate in the same way.

Option 2: Customize your Structured Template

If you use a Sturctured Template to generate your note in Freed, use the Template Builder to edit or create a format that matches the fields in your EHR:

1. Create a new Structured Template in the Template Library.

2. Use the Template Builder to add subsections that match the fields in your EHR, ensuring that the subsection headings match the verbiage in your EHR:

Results

Now when you generate a new note using this template you edited, it should have a structure that matches the fields in your EHR, resulting in a more accurate and reliable EHR Push.
