Manage and Invite Users to a Freed Group Plan (for Group Admins)

Updated over a week ago

When you are a group admin for a Freed Group Plan, the User Management page serves as your dashboard for inviting, removing, and managing users in your account.

Access the Admin Settings page

Click the Profile icon in the bottom left corner, and click Subscription.

You'll be brought to the Admin Settings page, where you can manage billing and user settings for your group.

Click on the User Management tab to view users.

Click the Invite users button to invite clinicians to join your group.

Add a New User

When you click the Invite users button, a pop-up will appear prompting you to create a Group name, and invite clinicians.

Enter the email address of a user you wish to invite. Click the Invite another button to enter more email addresses for additional users.

Click the Send Invite button to send an invitation email to the user(s) you entered.

Alternatively, you can send an invite link or copy a unique invite link to share with clinicians by clicking the Copy invite link button.

Depending on if an invited user already has a Freed account, there may be additional steps.

If the Invited User has an Existing Freed Account

If the invited clinician already has a Freed account (whether a trial or paid individual subscription), they will follow one of these paths:

If the invited user is already logged In:

  1. The user can either click the invitation link in the email or simply log in to Freed.

  2. Once logged in with the same email address the invite was sent to, they will see a banner stating: "You have a pending group invitation". They need to click "View Invite".

3. Then, select "Confirm and Join" to complete the process.

If the user is not yet logged in:

  1. Clicking the link in the email invitation will direct them to the Sign Up page.

  2. They should select "Already have an account? Sign In" and log in.

3. Once logged in with the same email address the invite was sent to, they will see a banner stating: "You have a pending group invitation". They need to click "View Invite".

4. Then, select "Confirm and Join" to complete the process.

If the user has an existing, paid subscription, their Individual Plan will be canceled, and they will receive a prorated refund automatically.

  • If they subscribed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, they must manually cancel their subscription, as Freed does not manage third-party billing.

All notes, settings, and formats remain intact—only the billing transitions.

If the Invited User does not have an Existing Freed Account

If the invited clinician does not have a Freed account:

  1. Clicking the link in the email invitation will take them to the sign up page.

  2. They should create a new account and complete onboarding.

3. Once logged in with the same email address the invite was sent to, they will see a banner stating: "You have a pending group invitation". They need to click "View Invite".

4. Then, select "Confirm and Join" to complete the process.
