If you conduct virtual visits or telehealth via Zoom, Freed lets you record your visits while maintaining privacy and accuracy.
By capturing audio directly through Zoom, this app addresses common challenges with using local microphones for telemedicine, such as privacy concerns and audio clarity.
Set-up Instructions

Within the Zoom app, click Connect. You’ll be redirected to the Zoom Marketplace—make sure you're signed into the correct Zoom account before adding Freed’s Zoom App.
2. Set Up Permissions
After adding the app, you'll be guided through a quick setup process to grant permission within both Zoom and Freed.
To grant permission in Zoom:
Check the box to "Allow this app to use my shared access permissions."
Click the Allow button.

Click the Connect button to confirm the connection between your Zoom and Freed accounts:
Use the Freed Zoom App
Freed will automatically request to join Zoom meetings you host, acting as a passive participant to capture conversations, labeled "Clinical Notetaker (Freed.ai)." If needed, you can place Freed in the Zoom Waiting Room while obtaining patient consent.
This eliminates the need to place the patient’s voice on loudspeaker, ensuring better audio quality and enhanced privacy during telemedicine sessions.
For your first meeting, Zoom will prompt you to "Allow recording." Select "Apply these permissions to all future requests" to streamline the process.
Also, ensure microphone permissions are enabled in your browser.
4. Seamless Note Processing
When you end your Zoom call, Freed will automatically process the encounter in your Freed account. You can then review, edit, and finalize your notes directly within Freed.
Once the note has been processed in Freed, you can follow your usual workflow—add the patient’s name, apply Templates, edit the note, and transfer it to your EHR system. The process remains the same as if you had captured the note directly within Freed.
