How to Access Trash & Change Default Delete Settings
Updated over a week ago

This guide is intended to help you understand the delete/trash settings for your Freed notes.

Freed allows users to choose whether they want their notes retained indefinitely or deleted after 30 days. This preference can be adjusted in your Account Settings.

Any note manually moved to the Trash is held in your Trash for 7 days before being automatically and permanently deleted.

To Restore a Note from Trash:

If you manually move a note to the Trash, it will remain there for 7 days before it is automatically and permanently deleted. To restore a deleted note from the Trash, you should click on the "All Notes" drop down, then click on "Trash". Once you're in the trash bin, locate the note you would like to restore and select the restore icon. This will restore your note from the trash bin and you can find it again in "All Notes".

Step 1) Go to "Trash"

Step 2) Restore Note

To Change Note Delete Settings:

Freed provides users with the option to decide whether their notes should be retained indefinitely or deleted after 30 days. You can customize this preference in your Account Settings.

Step 1) Navigate to your profile

Step 2) Open Settings

Step 3) Select Note Preferences and Adjust Note Storage

Toggle settings to your preferences on or off.

Toggling "Delete records after 30 days" on will permanently delete a note 30 days after the initial capture. Toggling "Delete records after 30 days" off will cause all notes to remain within your account indefinitely until you manually move them to the Trash or alter this setting again.
