Problem: Freed is having problems accessing your microphone properly on Safari or Mac. You might be seeing the following message:

Unfortunately, your microphone is not capturing any audio. Please make sure it's not muted, check your volume settings, or try a different browser. Reach out to [email protected] if the error persists.

Solution: We understand that this is a frustrating situation, and we're here to help you get back on track! Please follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check Your Microphone Connection and Settings:

    • Ensure that the microphone is connected properly to your Mac.

    • Make sure that the microphone is turned on, not muted, and has batteries if it requires them.

  2. Verify Your Mac Sound Settings:

    • Click on the Apple Menu () and select 'System Preferences.'

    • Open 'Sound' and then click on the 'Input' tab.

    • From the list of devices, select the correct microphone that you want to use with Freed.

    • Make sure the 'Input volume' slider is set to an appropriate level.

  3. Try a Different Browser:

    • If the issue persists on Safari, you might want to try using Freed on Google Chrome instead.

We hope these steps help you resolve the microphone issue you’re experiencing. If none of the above solutions work, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at [email protected].
