Introducing: CPT Codes [Beta]

Learn about Freed's CPT codes, currently in beta.

Updated this week

Assigning CPT codes after a patient visit is one of the most time-consuming and error-prone parts of documentation. Coding rules are complex, often ambiguous, and frequently changing — which puts added pressure on clinicians to get them right. The process often involves reviewing decision-making complexity, time spent, and clinical actions — all while juggling patient care.

Freed’s new CPT Codes feature, currently in limited beta, helps automate this process by analyzing your visit transcript and note to identify E/M codes supported by your note. These CPT codes appear in the Clinical Codes section of your note, are integrated directly into your workflow, and have clear explanations, supporting context, and full control left in your hands.

How It Works

After you finish a visit and your note is generated, Freed will automatically include an outpatient E/M CPT code in the Clinical Codes section. This feature eliminates the need to manually cross-reference coding guides or recall complex billing rules. You stay focused on patient care while Freed helps ensure your coding is more accurate, compliant, and supported.

Note: CPT codes are informational only. The clinician is ultimately responsible for final coding decisions.
