EHR push is available in the Freed Chrome extension. It's designed to make note transfer even faster and more seamless.
EHR push is a single, powerful button that automatically maps and transfers notes from Freed into TherapyNotes.
Note: Your Settings → Connections page may currently show TherapyNotes as “copy/paste only”. That label is out of date — EHR Push works with TherapyNotes through the Freed Chrome extension as described below.
How does it work?
Just download and launch the Freed Chrome extension. Record your visit, then click Push to EHR. Freed will automatically transfer your note.

How to use EHR push
1. Install our Chrome extension
To use EHR Push, install and pin the Freed Chrome extension:
2. Open TherapyNotes and launch the extension
While in your browser, click the extension. Freed will pop up on top of your EHR.
3. Record your visit and push
Record your visit, review, open your Progress Note in TherapyNotes then click Push to EHR (while in note view). Your note will transfer automatically!
Note: EHR push for TherapyNotes supports both the standard Progress Note (SOAP) template and the Psychiatry Progress Note template (which adds dedicated ROS, Physical Exam, Allergies, and Medication Comments fields)
Before you push: confirm the chart open in TherapyNotes belongs to the same patient as the Freed visit. Freed pushes into whichever chart is open.
4. Verify the note in TherapyNotes
EHR Push is a beta feature, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of your chart. After the push finishes, switch to TherapyNotes and confirm that:
The note is in the correct patient's chart and the correct encounter.
Every section you expected transferred, and the content landed in the right fields.
Review and correct anything that looks wrong before you sign the note. Freed places content into whichever chart you had open in TherapyNotes — it cannot confirm for you that the note reached the right patient.
Troubleshooting
If the Push to EHR button is not appearing or working, try these steps:
Check the Freed Chrome extension. Make sure it is installed and updated to the latest version.
Restart your browser. Quitting and reopening your browser can fix temporary connection issues.
Make sure you are signed in to Freed. Push to EHR requires you to be signed in.
Check your Chrome profile. Open both your EHR and Freed in the same Chrome profile as the one where the extension is installed.
Remove and reinstall the extension if it is still not working. If you do not have access to EHR Push, contact Clinician Support.
