Magic Edit enables you to change edit your note with the ease of typing or speaking specific instructions. Simply prompt Magic Edit with the change you'd like, and it will regenerate your note, incorporating those changes.
How to Use Magic Edit
Step 1: Click the Magic Edit Button
Locate the Magic Edit button on the right menu of your note.
Step 2: Provide Instructions for Magic Edit
A pop-up box will appear in the bottom-right corner of your screen. You can enter your instructions directly in the text box. Or, you can click the microphone icon if you wish to dictate your instructions.
Step 3: Apply the Edit to your Note
Once you've typed your instructions, click Update Note. If you've dictated your instructions, click End Instructions.
Freed will then regenerate your note based on the Magic Edit instructions.
Tips for Using Magic Edit
Be Clear and Specific: Clearly request the changes you need and for which note section (Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan, or Patient Instructions). The more specific your instructions, the more accurately Magic Edit will perform.
One Instruction at a Time: Giving one instruction at a time may provide better results and make for faster processing time.
Review Changes: After using Magic Edit, quickly review the updated note to ensure all changes have been correctly applied.
How to Manage Magic Edit
Undo a Magic Edit
Locate the Restore to previous version button: When viewing a note in your browser, the Undo button is located in the right menu, just above the Magic Edit icon, and resembles a small circular arrow.
Magic Edit does not interact with your template, ensuring it solely focuses on restoring previous versions after Magic Edit adjustments.
Using Magic Edit with a Learned Template
If you're using a Learned Template, you can use Magic Edit to make editing your note easier, faster, and more consistent. When you're happy with your edits, you can click the Learn Format button to teach Freed that future notes of the same template type should be formatted in the same way.
