If you want to make sure you are seeing the very latest chrome extension version with new features enabled and known issues fixes, please make sure to update it to the last version.
Note that this is usually not necessary. Chrome browser will update your extensions automatically in background every once in a while. This is intended for those cases where you want to use the latest capability, such as new feature roll-outs.
Method 1: Through Chrome Extensions Page (quickest)
Open Chrome and go to:
chrome://extensions/
In the top-right, toggle Developer mode on.
Click the Update button that appears — this will force all extensions to update immediately.
Method 2: Manually Reload just Freed Extension
On the same chrome://extensions/ page, find the extension you want to update.
Click the Reload button (circular arrow) if available. This refreshes just that extension.
Method 3: Disable (or re-install) & Re-enable
If you want to trigger a refresh for just one extension:
On chrome://extensions/, toggle the extension off, then on again.
Chrome will reload it and sometimes fetch the latest update if one exists.
NOTE: Freed extension only update if we have published a new version to the Chrome Web Store. Forcing an update won’t upgrade beyond what’s available.
