Freed now features an upgraded note editor experience, giving you the flexibility to edit your notes to your preference in a simple and intuitive canvas.
Featuring collapsible sections, accessible buttons, and a clean layout, Freed's note editor makes it easy to view, edit, and copy your notes.
This new interface replaces the original Freed note experience and brings meaningful improvements to how you work with clinical documentation day-to-day.
Key Features of the Note Editor
One-click copy
Hover over any block of text and click the copy icon — no need to highlight manually.
Smart copy blocks
Add two line breaks to define a new copyable block. Perfect for separating thoughts or sections.
Auto-save
All your edits are saved automatically as you type — no Save button required.
Streamlined layout
A more compact design makes it easy to skim, scan, and edit long notes quickly.
Transcript tab
Transcripts now live in their own tab, so you can easily access the full visit or summaries for quick reference and copying.
How to Use the Note Editor
Much of the functionality remains the same as before, now in a more powerful and simpler interface. Learn about using the new interface:
Edit Your Note
Click anywhere in the note to make edits — just like before.
Each section (like “Subjective,” “Assessment,” or “Plan”) is now cleaner and easier to work with.
Your changes save automatically, so you never have to press a “Save” button again.
Use Magic Edit to apply changes throughout your note, now located in the toolbar in the upper right corner.
Copy Content
Hover over any text and a block will be highlight. Click to copy that specific section of text.
Copy all by clicking the copy all icon in the upper right corner.
To break a section into multiple copyable blocks, press the return key twice to create a new block. Each individual block can now be copied separately.
Reorganize Content
Separating text into smaller blocks with line breaks makes it easier to organize, copy, or update just the parts you need.
Your templates work exactly the same, so you can continue using Learned or Structured Templates — whichever complements your workflow the best.
View Transcripts
Click the “Transcript” tab at the top of the Freed window to view the full transcript and the transcript summary from your visit.
You can copy full transcripts or summaries from here — perfect if you need to reference or reuse language from the encounter.
