Champions: Adding Additional EHR Integration Users
Updated over a month ago

This guide provides instructions for the Group Champion on adding additional users to your group account within the Freed EHR integration.

Important: Access for Group Champions Only

Only the user with admin rights in the Group (Champion) can add additional users. If you are not the Vim Group Admin (Champion), please forward this guide to your Group Champion. If you're unsure who your clinic's integration admin is, reach out to the Freed Support team, and we’ll help you identify them.

Step 1) Open the Vim Console

Freed EHR integration is powered in partnership with Vim, which provides the Vim Console tool to manage access. You can access your Champion Vim Console here.

  • Your login email is the same as your Freed account email, and your password is the one created during the Champion Onboarding process.

  • If you’ve forgotten your password, use the reset password link on the login page.

Step 2) Add Users via the Vim Console

In the Vim Console, use the available tools to add new users to your organization. These users do not need to activate their accounts, as you, the Group Champion, have already activated the organization account. However, they will need to follow the instructions in Step 3 to install and begin using Freed through Vim.

Step 3) Provide Instructions to New Users

Once you’ve added users in the Vim Console, they will each need to download their own Vim extension to begin using the integration.

To help your Non-Champion users get started with their EHR integration, we recommend sharing the 3 following resources:

  1. Provide the relevant installation guide based on their device operating system:

  2. Share your unique Organization Key or Install Key with them

    1. As the Champion, you can find this key in your Vim Console. Your Non-Champion users will be prompted to enter it during their own Vim Extension installation process.

Alternatively, we recommend using the Group Policy Object (GPO) method, especially if your clinic has an IT department, as this method is scalable and reliable. If you are interested in the GPO method, please reach out to the Freed Support Team or your assigned Account Manager for more information.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Freed Support for assistance.
