This guide will help you integrate Freed into your EHR system, enabling you to push your notes from Freed into your EHR with one click.
Please note that EHR integration is currently available only for Athena, Practice Fusion, and eClinicalWorks systems.
Freed manages VIM integration onboarding in groups. This guide is tailored for any additional users once your clinic's Champion has set up the Group. If you are the very first user in your Group, please refer to Champions: EHR Integration Onboarding. If you are a non-champion attempting to add yourself to the Group or help a colleague do so, please refer to this guide.

We highly recommend double-checking with your group Champion to make sure they have added your access before completing this guide.
For non-champions, here's how to get started:
Step 1) Install Vim Extension
Select the installation guide based on the operating system of the computer you use for EHR integration:
Step 2) Enable Vim Connect
After installation, open Chrome and search for "Vim Connect" in your extensions. Enable it, then restart your Chrome browser to ensure the extension is fully activated.
Step 3) Log In to Your EHR and Locate the Vim Logo
Log in to your EHR and look for the small "Vim" logo on the side. It may take up to 30 seconds for the logo to appear.
Step 4) Click the Freed Icon.
Once you see the Vim logo, click the Freed icon within it.
Freed is now integrated with your EHR!
How to use your new EHR integration with Freed:
You can fully collapse the Freed app using either of the following methods:
Click on the blue V icon.
Click on the small X in the top right corner.
Tips for managing the app's position and size:
Move the App to the Left Side: Use the small arrows next to the blue V icon when the app is fully collapsed to move the whole bar to the left side of the screen.
Adjust Vertical Position: Move the app up and down using the small arrows that appear when the app is fully collapsed.
Expand the App: Click on the icon in the blue bar to expand the app to a more full size if needed.

Some clinics have Group Policy Object (GPO) settings that control which software is installed and maintained on your computer. If the Vim extension was removed after a restart, it may be due to these policies. Please consult your IT department for assistance on re-installing and maintaining the extension.
